We respect your data

Short version: on internshipabroad.eu we store no personal data about you as long as you do not actively submit something (for example, an enquiry form). Fully GDPR compliant.

What we do not do on this website

• We set no marketing or tracking cookies
• We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar tools
• We do not store personal data from website visitors who are just browsing
• We do not build user profiles from your browsing behaviour
• We do not sell or rent data to third parties

What we measure

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that works without cookies and without storing your IP address. We see anonymised aggregates only, never identifiable individual data.

When you submit an enquiry

The forms on this site (for universities, governments, and placement partners) send your submission by email to our partnerships team. We only use the information you provide (institution or company name, country, department, contact name, email, and your message) to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any marketing list without your separate consent.

When students sign up on the platform

Once a student creates a profile on app.internshipabroad.me, or on one of our 16 national market sites, separate privacy terms apply there, which they explicitly agree to when signing up. Each market site (internshipabroad.nl, internshipabroad.uk, internshipabroad.de, and others) carries its own localised privacy policy for that data flow.

Your rights under GDPR

If you have submitted data to us (through an enquiry form or a platform account), you have the following rights:

• Right of access to the data we hold about you
• Right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to erasure of your data
• Right to data portability in a machine-readable format
• Right to object to the processing of your data
• Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in the Netherlands the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority)

Server & hosting

This website is hosted on Vercel. Server logs (IP address, timestamp, browser) are retained for a maximum of 7 days for security purposes and then deleted.

Third parties

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When the page loads, Google sees your IP address. We have no further influence over this. If this is a concern, you can block Google Fonts via a browser extension.
